Cosmic Finger - Jive Puppy (live)
About a year and a half ago, I sat in with an acoustic-guitar-duo, who were putting an original project together. They needed someone to bounce lyrical ideas off of, and I would listen to their jams and work out lyrics based on their ideas. That duo has since morphed into a full fledged jam band in tradition of Phish or String Cheese Incident. One of those early compositions I worked on made it into their live set.
“All I’ve got is this part that goes ‘jive little puppy’ - like that. Then it goes into this black-soul bit, what do you think?” That was my introduction to this particular jam, so I wrote something about a lost puppy trying to join a band.
